Can you change your mind later?

From PCM you can still move to commerce, law, design, civil services or management later. The reverse is close to impossible — you cannot pick up PCM in Class 12 or after.

The mistake families make here

Taking PCM only because relatives expect it, then losing two years to coaching for an exam you never wanted to sit.

Where students are usually competitive

Comfortable above 75% in Class 10 Maths and Science; possible below that with real effort. School fees plus optional coaching, which is where most family money is actually spent.
