Research degrees lead into analytics, teaching and public science establishments as well as academia. They do not lead to clinical medicine or to an engineering licence.

The mistake families make here

Believing this route has no funding. INSPIRE eligibility comes automatically with admission to an IISER, IIST, NISER or CEBS, and through the top 1% board route elsewhere.

Where students are usually competitive

Strong Class 12 science performance; the top 1% board route also carries scholarship eligibility. Public institution fees are low and stipends exist at several.
